MAGENTIQ EYE

Leading the Endoscopy AI transformation, starting with Gastroenterology

Our story

The vision

Deep learning, which became feasible in the 2010s, inspired the founder of MAGENTIQ EYE, entrepreneur Dror Zur, Ph.D. (EE, CS & Applied Math), to research areas of medical diagnosis in search of a field where AI had the potential to become a game-changer. With two decades of experience in leading technology at successful medical device companies, it was clear that the market had to be massive and the impact significant. That field was Gastroenterology.

In 2014, we founded MAGENTIQ EYE with a vision to power endoscopy with AI, starting with gastroenterology. Our strategy then, and now, was to focus solely on gastroenterology, specializing first in one procedure- colonoscopy. Our goal was to develop a powerful tool that would aid gastroenterologists, creating a complete “AI suit” to transforms diagnostical capabilities and empower clinical decision making, without changing the clinical workflow.

The process

From the beginning, we took the path of developing superior technology with strong IP, protected by patents. To this end, we perfected our algorithm by collecting data from more than 3,500 full recorded videos (and their procedure reports) and processing, analyzing and tagging more than 65,000,000 frames. Our solution continually improves with every video we add, and we cooperate with several medical centers which supply us with a steady stream of new data to train and test our algorithm. We have 4 granted patents protecting our technology from the competition, we are CE approved and FDA cleared, and have received worldwide recognition and support from organizations such as the EU Horizon program and the Israeli Innovation Authority. We have presented at the most esteemed conferences and have been published in the best professional journals.

Today, we are proud to have the best performing AI aided colonoscopy solution in the market, validated by one of the most comprehensive studies performed by any company in our field. We have a detailed road map for future development for our MAGENTIQ-COLO™ product, adding further capabilities and features, and additional solutions that power other areas of gastroenterology with machine learning; our solutions for upper GI, such as detection of early dysplasia in Barrett disease and additional features for automatic quality measurements of GI procedures are in progress.

The solution

Our solution gives an answer to the many challenges of traditional colonoscopy. For the medical community, superior adenoma detection and diminished miss rates is groundbreaking, and also comes with positive financial benefits, and for patient, every percentage of increased accuracy is another life saved. Traction for the MAGENTIQ-COLO™ has been outstanding, with numerous trials-to-purchase implementations, and a fast-growing paying client base.

We look forward to continue transforming Gastroenterology powered by AI, and welcome an open dialog with hospitals and clinics to learn more about specific needs and tailor our solution to address them.
